Play with the shutter speed setting to get shots of both slow and fast-moving subjects. Slow shutter speeds are great for objects that move very slowly, such as streams. Fast shutter speeds, on the other hand, allow you to get a clear shot of a subject that is moving very quickly, such as a race car.

You should use digital techniques in order to shoot pictures that look like graphic pencil sketches, oil paintings, watercolors, and more. Lots of companies create digital software for changing your pictures; however, Adobe Photoshop is usually considered by most to be the standard in the industry. With Photoshop, photos can be instantly converted to works of art by simply selecting the effect you desire.

Set up some basic programs for your DSLR camera. By setting some of the basic values ahead of time, you don’t have to mess with them in the event that you want to get a shot in, in a short amount of time.
